Easter Sunday Stealing

Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World" is our host. She searched the internet for the questions and we answer them and link back up!

Today’s questions are stolen from SwapBot

1.    What’s the weirdest smell you have ever smelled? We have some paper mills in Alabama and they put off an unusual order. We used to have a dog food plant here in town and it also had an unusual smell. The sign below was the advertisement when I was a kid and the dog's tail wagged and I think his eyes moved.

 2.   What would be the hat to end all hats? What could you wear on your head that would make people stop what they are doing and stare in awe and amazement? Well . . .how about this one?

 3.    What is something that everyone looks stupid doing? I have no idea! I started to say “dancing” but I think that is only me! I know -- everyone looks stupid picking their nose, right?

 4.   In 40 years, what will people be nostalgic for? I know that far fewer people cook and eat dinner as a family than they did when I was a child. Will family meals go away in 40 years? Will those who are still around be nostalgic about family meals?

 5.   How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza? I can eat pineapple on pizza IF it is paired with Canadian bacon. I don’t love it but will eat it.

 6.   If animals could talk, which would be the rudest? Donkeys – wouldn’t they be an ass? Hahaha!

 7.   What’s the best type of cheese? I love all kinds of cheese. I love a good sharp cheddar and I love feta cheese. I’m not as fond of Blue Cheese – a tiny amount of Blue Cheese goes a long way.

 8.   Where is the strangest place you’ve urinated or defecated? Ok – that is just a weird question! The first time I was in Israel, I went to a public bathroom and there was no toilet . . .only a hole in the floor. I actually couldn’t go!! On that same trip, we went to one place that had a unisex bathroom and I was in the stall next to one of our pastors. That didn’t bother me too much because all I had to do was tinkle!

 9.    In one sentence, how would you sum up the internet? The internet is a fast way to access all sorts of information plus stay in touch with people!

10.   Which insect could you happily do without seeing for a good long time? Mosquitos love me. I don’t like them!

11,   What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever worn? Way back when I was in high school, we had initiation for some club and we had to dress in really weird clothes and go to a public place. I can’t remember what we wore but I think it was pajamas . . .which makes me laugh because in today’s world, people wear pajamas as clothes quite often.

12.  What’s the weirdest thing a guest has done at your house? Someone was a member of the small group that meets at our house and she had a feeding tube. She spilled her feeding tube liquid all over our sofa. Just FYI - it stains.

13.  Is cereal soup? Why or why not? Soup is soup at our house – soup is not cereal 😊.

14.   What is the sexiest and least sexy name? They almost named my husband Cleveland Bonaparte and I’m really really glad they didn’t. To me, Cleveland Bonaparte would fall into the least sexy name category. I’m not sure what the sexiest name is . . .I guess I should say Mark since that is my hubby's name!

15.   What fictional character is amazing in their book / show / movie, but would be insufferable if you had to deal with them in mundane everyday situations? We love Sheldon on Big Bang Theory but he would definitely be insufferable in real life.

  1. loved the hat! And our comment about the smells from the dog food factory reminded me of my childhood. We lived in San Francisco, between the Ghirardelli chocolate factory and a coffee factory so I would wake up and smell mocha on my way to school.

We have home made dinner every night. It used to be me cooking, now it's my son.

    1. Yum! Chocolate and coffee together would smell so much better than dog food or a paper mill!

  3. Mosquitos! I get it! We can be at a picnic or ballgame and I'll be the only one who ends up bit. Why do they search for some of us and not others? I heard somewhere it has to do with blood type and and how that makes our skin smell. Makes sense, I suppose, but I don't know for certain that's true.

    1. Mosquitos NEVER bite my husband. We can be sitting together and they all bite me! I've heard that about blood type, too. Do you have O+?

  4. Oh, I forgot about the paper mill smell. There is one a county over and sometimes it would drift this way. The saying was, "I smell Covingon" on those mornings when the smell was on the wind. You're right, it is a weird smell.

  5. I can only imagine what the smeel of a dog food plant is like.
We still have family meals in the UK - it seems that eating out is more popular in the US - I found that when I have been there (quite a few times now).

    :O)

    Cheers

    1. I'm addicted to my phone but what makes me sad is when I see a family out to dinner and both parents are on their phone and no one is interacting.
