Snow Day . . .NOT!

I love looking at the pictures on other blogs -- especially those where the yard is blanketed with snow. Our weather man - James Spann - was predicting a small amount of snow for January 3. It was supposed to snow during the night. Some areas in Alabama did get several inches of snow. Some areas within a 30 minute -- actually within a 15 minute drive from us had about 1/2 inch of snow. This was what we awakened to see on Monday morning. I was a tad disappointed!!

There was a little snow in our courtyard.

There was a little snow on the rooftops and a little snow on the playground in front of our house.

There was a little snow in our neighbor's backyard.

The good news is that the roads were fine. We both went to work without any problems.

It has been cold here this week. The low last night was in the 20's yet by Sunday, I think it is going to be 60 again. If you don't like the weather in Alabama, wait about 5 minutes and you might experience the weather of a different season!

  1. Pretty pictures! I'd have been thrilled! Glad to know your commutes were uneventful. Tom's UAB business was originally scheduled for the 3rd, but fearing inclement conditions I asked to postpone.
