Beach Trip Recap #1

When our kids were growing up, we went to the beach with my husband's family almost every year. Our kids loved playing with their cousins and we loved hanging out on the beach together. Now all but one of the grandchildren has graduated from college and our two kids each have a child of their own. Mark's momma always loved the beach and we wanted to take her at least one more time. (I'm actually sitting here typing this post on Wednesday night to keep myself busy because my sweet mother-in-law fell today and is in the ER right now and due to covid, none of us can be there . . .hence, the need to DO something and I'm behind on blogging)

We headed down to the beach on a Friday. Mark and I decided to take a detour through Magnolia Springs to eat at Jesse's. The food was really yummy! This little restaurant serves amazing food!

I had tenderloin tacos and Mark had shrimp and grits -- let me give you some advice -- make a reservation.

So it is now early early Thursday morning (stopped to watch TV with Mark last night!). His mom has a small fracture at the ball and socket so she is having hip surgery today. We appreciate all prayers.

I'll wrap up this post with a few more pictures and I'll write more about the beach later.
We love staying here because of this
fishing pier. Also because there are only
two towers with 9 floors each (70 condos) - and the tall
building next to ours is 12 stories but 1
condo per floor. Next to the tall building
are two homes so the beach in
front of our condos is rarely
crowded.

The pier is long and my sweet mother-in-law was able to walk to the end and check on the morning fishermen -- hubby and our son

I'll leave you with a picture of our little cuties on the pier with their great grandmother! The sun was in their faces so some of them are squinting or have their eyes closed :-).

our daughter, our nephew, Mark's
sister holding our youngest
granddaughter, our oldest
granddaughter and Gmom.
Just FYI - she wore capris
for most of the week and has
a face and ankle tan.
