I can't believe it - I think I am a fool for trying to accomplish April A to Z this year . . but here goes nothing! My theme is "Things that Make Life Better."
What better place to begin than
A is for A good cup of coffee or A cold Diet Pepsi.
I LOVE Diet Pepsi. I have one every single morning and then I have at least one more during the day.
When we travel to other countries, it is sometimes difficult to find Pepsi products. That means that I drink either Coke Zero or Pepsi Max (or it is Pepsi Zero now?). To be honest, I don't really like either of those, but I drink what is available.
When we land at an airport on our way home, I begin searching for Diet Pepsi!
Evidently, I found one below.
Here is one by my books when I was studying.
Here is one in my old office.
This is a rare photo below. I don't really like to drink them from a glass! I want the Diet Pepsi to live in the refrigerator and be COLD without a glass or ice.
Just FYI - Diet Pepsi is not sponsoring this post. I wish they were. Maybe they could offer me a free year's supply hahaha!
Mark, on the other hand, is a coffee man. Every night before we go to bed, I run out to the garage fridge and bring a Diet Pepsi inside so that I don't have to walk too far upon awakening!! While I'm grabbing my drink, Mark is loading the Keurig. His favorite joke is that every night, right before we fall asleep, he doesn't say "I Love You!" . . . he says, "I get to wake up and have coffee." I'm actually not joking, but feel free to laugh!! Keurig is not sponsoring this blog either, but we would be glad to accept any products they might send us, too hahaha!
To Mark and to me, one thing that makes life just a little bit better is either "A cup of morning coffee or A cold Diet Pepsi."
What are a few things that make life a little better for you? What are some small things that bring you joy?
It's funny how something so small can feel like such a comfort, or even a treat! Maybe that is the point!
I hope you come back tomorrow because I'll be writing about books!

For me there is nothing like a cold diet Pepsi from a vending machine...but that was when a can of pepsi was .50 cents (those days are gone)
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Barbie
Yes - wasn't it wonderful when a drink was only $.50?
DeleteWe often go to bed and say how much we're looking forward to our morning coffee. I don't drink much soda, but when we do it's Diet Coke. I tasted a Coke Zero recently which I guess is supposed to be more like actual Coke (I haven't had a real one in years) and it was so sweet. Good luck with the challenge!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you, too!
DeleteJamie (jannghi.blogspot.com): I'm a Diet Coke drinker. I've also gotten into Zero Sugar Mr Pibb recently.
ReplyDeleteWe are coffee people here.
ReplyDeleteI have not had a soda in years, and I mean in years. Ha! I use to drink Root Beer, but it just got to sweet for me. ;-)
Good luck with the challenge.
Diet Coke or Dr. Pepper here, and I definitely need my coffee! These days, I have to add a bunch of milk to soothe my aging tummy 😀
ReplyDeleteI can’t do diet pop but fully loaded Coke or Dr. Pepper were one time favorites for me.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a child, my grandmother Pearl always had coffee and tea on the table for the adults after dinner. She would make us cambric tea - black tea with lots of milk. I still drink it that way (no sugar). I have a cup every morning and another if my daughters come by.
ReplyDeleteI used to drink regular pepsi, but I don't drink pop any more. I drink coffee once in awhile but it has to be with some food or I feel yuck after.
Hats off to you for taking on the A to Z challenge. A good cup of coffee is a special morning treat for me. I hope I remember to come back tomorrow for books!
ReplyDeleteMUST have cup of hot coffee first thing in the morning. I cannot remember a morning when I haven't had one to start the day. :::knock on wood!:::
ReplyDeleteHappy A to Z! I chuckled at your inventive way of doing this, as neither coffee nor diet Pepsi starts with the letter A. I'm a coffee drinker all the way and can't stand fizzy drinks. Looking forward to your other posts.
ReplyDeleteCoffee! Our coffee break before noon is almost sacred. I don't care overmuch for diet soft drinks.
ReplyDeleteHappy A-Z.
Good luck with the challenge. My day starts with A refreshing cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteGreat start to the challenge. A good cup of coffee is very important to me too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with your husband; nothing starts off the day like a hot cup of coffee.
ReplyDeleteYou picked a fun theme!! I will look forward to each letter!! I have one cup of coffee in the morning. IF I have a carbonated beverage, I prefer diet Pepsi, too!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the madness! Once you're hooked, you'll want to do it every year! Interesting topic.
ReplyDeleteI am with Mark, and also say, "I get to wake up and have coffee!!" My hubby can quite live without a Diet Coke, or some sort of off brand. It's the simple things. :)
