Welcome to Sunday Stealing. Here we will steal all types of
questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we
will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers
to all of us thieves!
Since it's the 4th of July weekend, we're going to keep this
simple. We stole this from a blogger named Idzie, who called this
the F.A.B. (film, audio, book) meme.
F.A.B.
F. Film: What movie or tv show are you watching? Breaking Bad (can't decide if I like it or not), Young Sheldon, Justified (I'm writing this on Friday morning. We may have finished Justified by Sunday. We both hate for it to end.) We just finished Bad Sisters (loved the Irish accents). We are still watching the Mentalist. At this point, we can get up and wander around while watching. I can't wait for y'all to tell us what you are watching! Mark starts feeling panicked when whatever we are watching comes to an end.
A. Audio: What are you listening to? I'm not listening regularly, but I have "How to Win Friends and Influence People" on audible. I listen randomly. I thought it was funny that I've been listening to the book and when I was watching Young Sheldon on Friday night . . .Sheldon was reading the same book!
B. Book: What are you reading? I just finished the second book - "Kills Well With Others" by Deanna Raybourne. I mentioned the first one a week or so ago - "Killers of a Certain Age." I'm reading "Reckoning Hour" by Peter O'Mahoney. This is the first in the Dean Lincoln Legal Thriller series. I think it was my free kindle choice for the month. It is ok so far.
Thank you for playing! Please come back next week.
I have lots of those free Kindle books that I will probably never read. But at least they aren't piling up on the desk!
ReplyDeleteTrue! I try to read them, but sometime I don't!!
DeleteI never liked Breaking Bad. I didn't *dislike* it; it just never grabbed me. I did like Killers of a Certain Age. I'll have to look for Kills Well with Others.
ReplyDeleteA lot of our friends keep telling us to watch Breaking Bad. I will probably watch a few more episodes before I decide.
DeleteBeautiful blog
ReplyDeletePlease read my post
ReplyDeleteI have so many books on my Kindle, but have lost my reading mojo. I have always been a voracious reader, but just can't seem to get into a really good story these days... it's really been a year or more. I watched Breaking Bad when it was first out. Joe and I loved it. We also enjoyed Peaky Blinders and Lilyhammer. I've watched Peaky through twice and Lilyhammer through about three times, I think. Midsomer Murders has also been a favorite. I feel the same way when I am finishing a series. Virgin River and Sweet Magnolias are two that I sure hope come back with a new season.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Breaking Bad. It's not as amazing as the ratings suggest but it kept me hooked.

I don't watch that much TV other than gams shows and news programs. But I was quoted in someone's paper in a film magazine recently! "To better understand this shift in audience, I spoke with Roger Green, creator of the long running pop culture blog Ramblin’ with Roger. Roger told me, “I number myself among those who love
ReplyDeleteYoung Sheldon but don’t love The Big Bang Theory. TBBT characters, particularly the males, were rather exhausting after a while.” His thoughts echo those of many viewers who found the original show too reliant on caricature and exaggerated stereotypes. “Young Sheldon is, arguably, the better show,” he claimed. “It actually makes you care about the people.”
