Welcome to Sunday Stealing. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!
The website A Life
Untold poses questions crafted to gain new insights into your mother and/or
father. This week we're using them to learn more about you.
Meaningful Questions
1. If you could go back to any age, which would you choose
and why? This is a very hard question. I'm not sure that I would really want to go back to any age . . .but if I did, it would probably be to 18. Things would need to be very different, though. I wish I had gone to college back then, because I have realized that I could have done all sorts of things . . .I could have been a great family lawyer, a counselor, or a United Methodist pastor. I didn't even know those were options. I will say that at 68, I am so very thankful for this late education that I am receiving.
2. If you could snap your fingers and change any single
aspect of your life today, what would you change? My life - all of the good and bad -- has made me who I am today. I have a difficult time thinking about changing things. Mark and I are basically in good health, but I'd want us to be in EXCELLENT health with no aches and pains haha! It sure would make traveling a lot easier.
3. Define a "good" or "successful" life. I have had to define a successful life in one of my classes. Success is different for everyone. A good life is different for everyone, too. A successful life is one where we have enough money, but we don't have to be billionaires (though that might be nice, too). Success also means helping others. A good life is one filled with family, friends, love, and laughter. Our faith also plays an important part in a good life.
4. What's the best compliment you've ever received? People tend to compliment my smile. I can't think of a single "best" compliment. Mark and I receive compliments often on our gift of hospitality. After I read responses from everyone else, I will probably think . . .Oh! I should have remembered that compliment!
5. What's the most valuable thing your parents taught you? Our parents taught us to be honest and to be hardworking. Our mother taught us about our faith.

We worked a bajillion hours this week, and the conference was a success. We have the dates for Common Table 2027 on the calendar. I lost my voice on Wednesday and still don't have it back. If I'm not better on Monday, I will call the doctor. I'm pretty sure I have a sinus infection. I hope to write some more posts from our trip this week!
