Hodgepodge

1. The Winter Olympics kick off on Friday, February 6th...on a scale of 1-10 how excited are you? (1= eh and 10=watching every event all day every day). What's your favorite Winter Olympic sporting event? Sometimes I enjoy watching the Olympics. This year, I probably won't simply due to the fact that I have so much going on right now. I know this sounds crazy but I love to watch curling haha! Mark loves Biathlon - where the athletes cross country ski and then stop and shoot a rifle. I like to watch figure skating and the ski events, along with bobsleigh events.

2. In other sporting news, the Superbowl (American football's championship game) will be played on Sunday, February 8th. So tell us...what's your superpower? What is my superpower? I guess I can be the hostess with the mostest haha!

3. Are you a romantic? I don't think I am. I will admit that you could woo me off my feet and then I might be a romantic!

4. Blue cheese-yay or nay? How about feta? If you said yes to one or both, what's a dish you like that calls for one of these? I can take small doses of blue cheese - it is not my favorite. I love feta! I love a big Greek salad with chunks of feta! We've even added feta to pizza before. I also make an Heirloom Tomato tart in the summer that includes feta.

5. What's more important-doing what you love or loving what you do? Is there a right or wrong answer to this question? I think maybe loving what you do is more important. Everyone isn't lucky enough to be able to "do what they love." In Philippians chapter 4, Paul says that he has learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I think that is along the lines of loving what you do. Learn to love what you do. I can't wait to read everyone's answers today.

6. Insert your own random thought here. I have no random thoughts worth sharing today haha! Mark and I have one episode left of Ozark and I hope we can watch it tonight. Speaking of TV, maybe this is my random thought. Anne over at Cooking and All That Jazz talked about learning something new every day. This nudged me to watch "You Are What You Eat" while Mark was out of town last week. Have y'all seen it? What are some good documentaries we should watch? For someone who had no random thoughts, I now have several! Mark hurt himself last Friday getting out of a tree stand and he came home from his trip on crutches. He couldn't put any weight on that leg/knee. He went to an orthopedic doctor that our neighbor recommended on Monday. He went in on crutches and came out carrying the crutches under his arm. He evidently told everyone in the waiting room that he had been "healed" and the doctor was a miracle worker. One gentleman in the waiting room shouted out, "I want that doctor!" Mark thinks this story is so funny (which it is) but he keeps telling it to me over and over. I must not be laughing hard enough!!

  1. Well what did the doctor do?? : ) I feel like some responders today didn't get the difference between the two scenarios in #5. You had a good answer! I love that verse and say it to myself whenever I'm in the middle of something I didn't choose or want to do. Have a nice week!
