Falling . . .Hodgepodge!

1. Fall arrives this week in the northern hemisphere. Does it look/feel like fall where you live? What's something you love to do this time of year that makes you feel its officially fall? It does not look like fall here - it is H.O.T. but we've heard that an Arctic front is coming through at the end of the week and the high will be in the 80's rather than almost 100! When the leaves start falling and crunch when you walk through them . . .it seems like fall!

*If you're answering today from the southern hemisphere feel free to sub spring for the word fall.

2. What's a small daily task or chore that always seems to fall through the cracks when your schedule gets busy? Hmmm . . .I'm not sure. I always have a running list so I try hard to juggle and not let things fall through the cracks. I hate making phone calls lately . . .so I roll those from one day until the next until I finally have to call!

3. What's something you're falling for lately? Have you eaten Lesser Evil Himalayan Salt popcorn? I've been "falling in love" with that lately haha!

4.  Pumpkin is a popular flavor this time of year.  Are you a fan? What's your favorite pumpkin flavored food or beverage?  I do like pumpkin - I have a pound dropper recipe for some pumpkin bars that are good. Pumpkin bread is always good, too.

5.What's something you wish would never change? Explain. Gosh - these are hard today! Everything has to change, right? When things are good for our children and for us, selfishly . . . I wish things wouldn't change. If things weren't changing, wouldn't we be stagnant?

6. Insert your own random thought here. My random thought is more of a random rant. Do y'all have anonymous people leaving rude messages on your blogs? I received a rude comment a few months ago and I thought that it was odd because it said something about my physical appearance. I deleted it and moved on. I posted about getting flu and covid shots this past weekend and some anonymous person decided to say something rude. I deleted and did not respond. I might have a health concern that makes it important for me to get the vaccinations. If others don't want to get vaccinations, they get to make that choice. We are all entitled to our opinions. I just don't understand anonymous rude behavior and comments. ok - stepping off my soapbox.

  1. I am sorry you've had to deal with a rude anonymous commenter. I've noticed there's someone who leaves rude comments on many of the blogs that I read. She (I'm assuming the commenter is a woman- the comments sound so woman catty/mean) has never left a comment on any of my blog posts and I hope it stays that way. The Lesser Evil brand makes some good products- we've purchased some of their products recently and enjoyed them. I've been reading about pumpkin bars and now I want to make some!

    1. The ones by Pound Dropper are "healthier" than many, but I really like them!

  2. Yes, there is a rude "anonymous". I'm so sorry. The person often gets into political rants, and I could see "her" going off on vaccines. I love the Lesser Evil popcorn! It's so good!

    1. I'm glad to know that others have "seen" the rude "anonymous" person!

  3. I hope it cools down for you soon! I hate making phone calls too and will put them off for as long as possible.
    That popcorn sounds good.
Yep! I have been a victim to the anonymous commenter and many others have been too. Just keep deleting and ignoring her. I am sure she says things just to get a reaction.

  4. I have not gotten any comments by the rude person. I think my spam catcher would get them before they made it online.
I got my flu and covid shot a week ago too. And my DPT shot too. Why would anyone care? They don't have to get them.
Sometimes people are too, too much.
It cooled off here in Atlanta. Only going up into the 70s and low 80s this week! I hope it continues.
I never have liked to make phone calls.

  5. Unfortunately, that rude "Anonymous" has visited me a time or 3. I'm soooo tempted to respond, but take the high road (so far!) and just hit the delete button.
The older I get, the more I dislike talking on the phone, too. At least with electronic messages one has a trail.

  6. Ah, yes I've had (and read on other's blogs) that rude anonymous commenter and I typically just delete them as well. How miserable must one be in their own life to have time to leave mean/snarky comments on a blog? There are ways to express an opinion that differs without being rude about it. I too detest making phone calls so I often put them off until I just can't anymore.

  7. I am in agreement with the other on the anonymous commenter. Yes, that popcorn is a great treat!

  8. Yep, I had the anonymous visitor too. It is strange, because this one leaves a comment about Israel. ??? What?? Like I have anything to do with the war???

I love a good pumpkin bar.
    xo

  9. Common courtesy seems to be lost with some people. Deleting is a good option! It is nice when things cool down into the new season. Hope you get a cooling trend, soon. Haven't tried that popcorn yet. I depend on my lists, too, so important things don't fall through the cracks. Enjoy the rest of the week!

  10. Oh, yes! I have a rude commenter- she not anonymous on my blog, though. She only leaves comments every few weeks and they are too oddly specific to be a bot. She complains about a lot of stuff that I write about, and while I tried to be nice, I have now just started deleting her comments as soon as I see them. I don't understand what her desired outcome is?
    Things she has complained about:
    - that I let my child go to camp because "everyone gets molested at camp"
    - that a family missionary friend was kidnapped - she apparently doesn't like missionaries and wants them to all stay home
    - that I mentioned I took a whole week off blogging and she sarcastically responded "oh, the horror! I'm sure no one actually cares"

    oooookk, then.

  11. I actually think you were hotter than here this year! I saw that the normal heat bubble we get did shift North. Sorry!

  12. Hope you get some relief to the heat soon! Maybe not Artic blast temperatures...but a little more fall! Sorry for rude commenters. I don't understand the point - but just keep deleting them!!

  13. I hear you about the heat...and listen, you and I might not agree on issues, but I would never ever leave rude comments like these anonymous people do. sigh...yes, I get them too. (and truthfully, Lisa, you do make me stop and think)---I hope you have a beautiful weekend.
