Sunday Stealing

Welcome to Sunday Stealing. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!

This week, while looking for a blog we hadn't hit yet, we discovered Living in the World, Not on It. This meme comes to you from "life in the slow lane of the unemployable, unworkable, disabled HR Manager/EMT." Too bad she quit posting because she sounds interesting.

Living in the World, Not on It

1) You're on a trip taking a tour through the jungle. You have a backpack with some food, first aid supplies, a pocket knife, a flashlight and a couple bottles of water. Somehow, you get separated from your group. By night fall you haven't found your group and haven't heard them looking for you. How long do you think you would be able to survive on your own?

hahaha! I would NOT survive more than a few hours. Mark, on the other hand, would survive indefinitely!

2) Do you think it's okay to lie to spare someone's feelings? Why?

I try not to lie . . . but sometimes I might answer in a round-a-bout way.

3) If a talking doll were made to resemble you, what 3 phrases would it say?

Well . . .Every Sunday I say "Welcome to Trinity" -- "Good morning!" - "Happy Sunday"!! I guess that is what she would say!

4) If the super power to be able to read minds at will was possible, do you think it would be... cool and helpful, intrusive and wrong, manipulative or maddening?

I don't think I would want to read minds. I think my feelings might be hurt haha!

5) Are drunk confessions things people can't bring themselves to say sober or just the crazy ramblings of an influenced and intoxicated mind?

That is a really good question. I've always wondered and I don't have an answer. I can't wait to read the thoughts about this question!!

Thank you for playing! Please come back next week.

  1. Your doll would be much sunnier than mine! You got me thinking, though ... I work at a card shop and throughout my shift I say, "Welcome!" I should have had my doll say that.

  2. I like these q and a's. I would not survive long at all by myself in a jungle, possibly just until the end of daylight, but I would be a sniveling mess after about 15 minutes.

    1. I'm not a big crier . . . but I think I would be crying if I was left alone in the jungle!

  3. I would like a doll like yours, much friendlier than mine, I reckon.

  5. Yes - reading minds might determine the person's true thought about you, which may be either pleasant or unpleasant - but will almost certainly surprise you.

    :o)

  6. I liked your answers. I think my feelings would be hurt if I could read minds as well. I'm very glad that no one can read my mind.

    1. I know - I'm glad people can't read my mind . . .I'm sure there are some things I wouldn't want others to know I'm thinking.

  8. Alcohol lowers people’s inhibitions, and that includes what they say. It removes whatever filters they might normally employ when sober. Unfortunately, unkind things are often said - words that are regretted later on. And yes, they are often rambling thoughts. It’s quite sad, to be honest with you.
