Welcome to Sunday Stealing. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!
This week is less a steal than a cheat. These are
AI-generated responses to the request: "What should I ask to get a
stranger to open up?"
Spill It!
1. If money wasn't an issue, would you move to a new home?
We do love our home BUT I might move to a bigger house. Yes, ours is plenty big but I would love a Butler's pantry and a bigger laundry room and a bigger closet (or two) in our bedroom. We have a very small lot, which was one of the things we loved, but I think Mark would like a little more yard. I don't know why. He would like a bigger garage. Some of the houses in our neighborhood have a bonus one car garage at the side of their driveway. We don't have room for that, so a bigger one would be nice. Since money isn't an obstacle, I would hire someone to pack it all up, move us, and unpack us!
2. Do you listen to different music when you're happy than when you're sad?
I used to listen to music more often than I do now. Sometimes when I'm upset, I listen to music and it is definitely different from happy music.
3. What's your favorite way to unwind after a tough day?
I love to change into comfy clothes and get in my recliner and read a book or watch something on TV. Sometimes I might add a fun beverage. I also love to get together with good friends and laugh and talk.
4. What's the first book you remember from childhood?
When I was preparing our Sunday school lesson, I was thinking about the book "Heidi." I'm sure there were books before that one, but I definitely remember that one. We spent a lot of time at the library.
5. What made you smile today?
I'm typing these answers on Friday night. I may have smiled a few times when I was doing my homework. This semester is Human Sexuality. It is a lot of anatomy and I just keep smiling and chuckling thinking about me . . .if I had taken this class back when I was the "normal" college age. I'm going to go ahead and project to Sunday, since that is when you will be reading this. I will work the welcome desk at church and I get to see lots of cute families and I will teach Sunday School and see lots of our friends . . .all of those encounter will include smiles.
Thank you for playing! Please come back next week.
It's so good that you are still learning!
ReplyDelete"Discovering Human Sexuality" is definitely an interesting course. I just finished my quiz on male anatomy!
DeleteI wrote Heidi as well as it was my most beloved novel (Along with the sequels) and also when I was a bit older (14) I loved A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers!
After typing my answers, I've been wondering if the old Heidi movies might be available on one of the streaming services.
DeleteIf we are moving into bigger houses, I will need someone to helkp me clean too. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great time at church! Loved your answers! Have a great day!

Yes, let's hire someone to clean! I agree!!
DeleteThe first book I remember having was a child's anthology book (no idea what the name was because the cover and first couple of pages are long gone. Evidently (through my parents stories) I knew the nursery rhymes by the pictures of each one and some of my parents friends were convinced I could read as a toddler because I would sit with the book in my lap, recite the rhymes and turn the pages then recite the next ones.
ReplyDeleteI can't even begin to tell you how many times I read the stories, poems and nursery rhymes. I actually still have it and need to get it out and thumb through it again.
What a treasure to have the book!! I chuckled about your parent's friends thinking you could read -- love it!!
DeleteHeidi is a great book. I should reread that one as an adult. I've been trying to do that over the last few years and found it a satisfying exercise.
ReplyDeleteSomeday I would like to reread some children's books. I need to see if Heidi movies are available on one of the streaming services.
DeleteCannot stand the thought of moving but might be able to survive a move if everything was done for me like you suggested. We could use a bigger laundry, a little more room in the garage and i would be tickled pink to have s little more room in my craft space. Or at least a door to keep the kitties out. It is an open loft now. But I love our home and am glad to stay right here.
ReplyDelete#3 got me thinking of when I was a little girl. I had my "school clothes" and my "playclothes." My mother laid them out on my bed every day. No decisions! Life was sure easier then.
ReplyDeleteYou're never too old to learn - the subject matter you are studying sounds ... different (and funny).
ReplyDelete:o)
Cheers

I’d get a bigger house too. I really want a five-bedroom so I have enough space for both kids and their kiddos. Butler pantries are where it’s at these days too. It would be lovely to have a place where I could keep my most frequently used appliances on a countertop without everyone in the house seeing the mess.
