Weekend in Review

Mark was at the farm on Thursday night. My sister, Becky, was still in town so when I got off work, we headed to Frontera Grill for some Mexican food.

On Friday morning, we headed to the hair salon - my roots were showing. Having Becky with me made it more fun. We hit up the Dollar General afterwards.

We woke up to more rain on Saturday and really cool temps!! James Spann, our local weatherman, said we won't see temps like this weekend until October!

I got dressed and headed to the first bridal shower of the day. It was a kitchen and recipe shower.

I left the shower (still pouring rain!) and headed to P.F. Changs to meet our son. He had called on Friday and asked if he could take me to lunch for Mother's Day. It is so nice to have one on one time every once in a while.

I liked my fortune!!

On Saturday night, it was still pouring (not like the photo below with blue sky!). We headed to this cool building for a shower for our niece and her fiance. The daughters of one of the hosts have a business in the building and they allowed their parents to use the location for the party. They had planned for people to be in the courtyard . . .but it was raining and quite chilly.

I love pretty invitations!!

On Sunday morning, I headed to work and Becky headed home. She drove straight through and made it home safely -- another very long drive for her. I taught Sunday School and then headed home. We did laundry, took a nap, straightened up the house, rode our stationary bikes, and watched some TV.
What did you do this weekend?

  1. Sounds like a nice weekend! We had rain too but it is sunny now. My pool needed the water anyhow. My weekend was both good and bad at times but we made it through to another week!

  2. It sounds like you had a lovely weekend! Rain here, as well, and we need it so badly. I enjoyed all of your photos, and I really like PF Chang's. Yum. Have a blessed week ahead!

  3. We are currently having thunderstorms and it has rained all day. It rained off and on over the weekend and is supposed to rain in to Wednesday and then warm up finally. How nice to have time with just your son. Grandchildren are such a blessing, but do make it more challenging to squeeze in time with the adults only. I like PF Changs and haven't been to one in a long while. We don't have one close, and I forget about it as an option when we're in the bigger town. I used to love their salt and pepper shrimp. Have a great week!

  4. What a busy, if damp, weekend. Glad Becky was safe going home. Wish we could get just one day of rain. We are sooo very dry. I enjoy getting a little time with my daughters now and then but it doesn't happen very often. My Ft. Worth daughter and I actually talk more on the phone than my El Paso daughter who lives over the mountain from me. Hope this has been a pleasant week for you.
