Weekend in Review & A Ridiculous Number of Pilgrims

Hey friends! What did you do this weekend? I did a LOT of homework on Thursday night and Friday morning. Mark was at the farm and I worked non-stop.

I did place a grocery order from Target on Thursday night and then I ran to Aldi on Friday and I also got my eyebrows threaded.

We had honeybaked ham earlier in the week so I removed the rest of the slices and froze it for Thanksgiving.

I put the ham bone in the crockpot and let it cook overnight. After it cooked a LONG time, I removed the remaining ham from the bones and made bean soup.

While Mark was still at the farm, I made a pumpkin pie.

And a pecan pie

We were celebrating Friendsgiving on Friday night with our long time supper club.

We had turkey, dressing, gravy, fancy green beans, yummy sweet potatoes, and pies!
The appetizer was a cream cheese based dip with cranberries and pepper jelly and assorted crackers.

I mentioned that I have an obscene amount of pilgrims.
This pair is in the entry hall.

There are two pairs on the dining room table.

And a pair on the little cabinet in the dining room.

Here is the second pair on the table.

And.... I have two pairs on the kitchen island.

I have two pairs in the powder room.

I have a canvas hand painted turkey on the back door.

...and a turkey on the mantle...

And a fall gnome over the stove

And another fall gnome in this cabinet...

And two more pairs of pilgrims at the top of the steps

On Saturday night we took our son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter out to dinner at Chuck's fish. They both have November birthdays.

On Sunday I worked and taught Sunday school. We made smash burgers for lunch. I meal prepped my lunches.
Mark and our son filled up an entire dumpster- they are cleaning out Mark's brother's house in order to put it on the market.

I did a ton of homework and now it is Sunday night and time to start it all over again. What did you do this weekend?

  1. Dinner with your family must’ve been special too. With homework, cooking, and helping clean out the house, you really packed a lot into just a few days

  2. Hi, Yum, the pies look so good. I made a pumpkin pie on Sunday, for our dessert on Sunday evening. My husband was gone, he came home Sunday afternoon. I made one pan chicken, roasted potatoes, squash and brussel sprouts, with pumpkin pie for dessert.
Good luck with all your homework.
