ABC Sunday Stealing

Welcome to Sunday Stealing. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!

The idea for this week's meme was inspired by Creative Bold. She used the alphabet to tell us a little something about herself. Now it's your turn.

Let's Do Our ABCs

A. Auto - I drive a black Lincoln Nautilus.
B. Bed size - We finally gave in and purchased a king sized bed in 2023.
C. Cats - We had one - Harvey. I sure do miss him. He was sick and we had him put to sleep a year ago.
D. Dogs - We've never had a dog since we've been married. Our son has a German Short Hair - Riley.
E. Essential start to your day - Waking up! I then start the day with Diet Pepsi and prayer.
F. Favorite color - I love pink . . .and green . . .and red.
G. Gold or silver - I wear gold more than silver. We have some gold accents in our home - which I love!
H. Hand you favor (righty or lefty) - I'm a righty. My husband is ambidextrous.
I. Instruments you play - I took guitar lessons when I was 40 - mid-life crisis. I learned to play "Ode to Joy." I don't play.
J. Job title - I am the Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor. When I was first hired at the church, I was the person in charge of membership and in charge of the database. One of my co-workers dubbed me the "Grand Puba of Shelby." Is that how you spell Puba? Shelby is the database.
K. Kids - We have twins (boy/girl) who will be 39 this year.
L. Live (rural, suburb, city) - We live in a suburb of Birmingham . . .Our suburb is actually a decent sized city.
M. Meal plans - Could someone plan them for me? I do plan some.
N. Nicknames - Our granddaughters call me Gran.
O. Overnight hospital stays - I don't like them. I don't like hospitals (yes, I know they can help me!). I spent two nights in the hospital (years ago) to have my wisdom teeth removed. I spent five nights in the hospital when Laura and Glenn were born (at 34 weeks). I spent a couple of nights in the hospital when I had my hysterectomy.
P. Pet peeves - People who cannot drive well!!
Q. Quote from a movie - Tarzan movie 1999 - spoken by the little elephant, "Mom, is this water sanitary? It looks questionable to me!" My daughter and I used to say that one all of the time. We are both
R. Regrets - Have you noticed that people fail to RSVP? Let us know if you are coming or if you regret that you can't attend!
S. Siblings - I was the baby and had two older sisters. My oldest sister died in November.
U. Underwear - Yes, I wear underwear!
V. Vegetable you love - I love roasted asparagus and fresh corn on the cob and fresh green beans and fresh peas of all kinds.
W. What makes you run late - If I decide to do "one more thing" . . .that makes me late.
X. X-rays you’ve had - I had one on my hip back in 2014 or 2015. I tore my hamstring and was in the ER. They were making sure I had not broken a hip.
Y. Yummy food - I love it! How about you?
Z. Zoo animal - I love all of the big cats!

  1. I love Harvey and Riley as names for a cat and dog. And you'll never get me to say anything against yummy food. :)

  6. I learned a lot about you! I grew up with dogs in my home and have not been without a dog since 2007. My husband and daughter are severely allergic to cats, so we made our choice early on.

  7. I think it's Grand Poobah! When I worked I was the Grand Poobah or Oracle (which is also a database).
